Every year, I hand-pick stories that have deeply resonated with our team. This year, I have one story each from our three sections – from India, rest of the world, and our product marketplace. I invite you to take a look…
As we assimilate, imbibe, and document a variety of projects, ideas, research, opinions, and the like… to collate this ezine for you, several processes, thoughts, and insights add to our learnings daily, and aid our growth and vision. The amount of good design that we acknowledge makes it even more difficult to single out just one from each milieu. Yet here we are… with the three projects that have won our stars again and again. Review these with a holistic approach, comprehend the sensitivity that the design plays out here and give us your feedback…
Spotlighting aesthetic dynamism – The Line Office by MIRA Design Studio stands tall with its unmistakable medley of colour, pattern, and form. The terrazzo floor of this sales and marketing office in Bengaluru, India plays the responsible and responsive trump card rooting this space in maximalism with a unique flourish – understated, flamboyant and energetic. Moreover, it also successfully addresses the scale-to-volume ratio and the seamless inside-outside connect. Shruthy Sanghvi – Creative Head and Founder of MIRA Design Studio nails the concept and ethos of the company’s approach to customer service through this interior.

ShadowBox: Exploring the essence of architecture and chiaroscuro – Architecture plays the instrument for the appreciation of the profound ephemerality of time in this residence in Toronto, Canada conceptualised and chiselled by Johnson Chou Inc. The house is configured to capture the ever-changing light and shadow effects in various areas via its single, double, and triple-height spaces, through interior elements such as bridges and stairs. The architects with their all-white canvas engender a heightened sense of movement, orchestrating sheer poetry of human and built interaction.
