Shot entirely during a live interaction online, this first episode of Vignettes sets the tone for the future strategy of content creation and audience interaction at IndiaArtnDesign.com.
Giles Miller Studio is a London-based practice specialising in making surfaces finishes. Illustrating content through shadow and tone, and exploring the materiality of ceramics, wood, and metals in relationship with light, the studio specialises in creating artistically focussed surfaces, architecture, and sculpture; their scope and scale ranging from miniature individual components to artworks the size of buildings.
Giles Miller Studio has created acclaimed and award-winning work for some of the world’s most prestigious brand-names across a variety of industries.
In this episode, Design Director of the studio, Kirstie Little focusses on a new surface system they call Wing, an example of which is a project titled Lotus that they completed for a hotel in China. Lotus is a unique evolution of the studio’s louvred surface work, with plated steel petals angled to depict varied tones within the artwork.
